Him: I borrowed it from Lauren. We traded so she has my black one. She likes it, and I like this one.
His mom: But purple is a girl color, honey.
Him: Well, duh! It's a girl color because it's a Stacy Brown color!
Me: Stephanie Brown?
Him: Yeah! The Robin and Batgirl!
His mom: Why do you want a Stephanie Brown colored scooter?
Him: Because she's cool! (KC) says I can be her if I want. I want to grow up to be Stephanie Brown, so I have to use purple.
His mom: Wouldn't you rather be Batman? Or the other Robin?
Him: I can't be Batman, Mom, Lauren is. That's why she needs the black scooter. She's Batman and I'm Steph!
His mom: Honey....
Him: And we're going to be police officers when we get old like the other Robin was and (KC) can be the sheriff and we can all punch crime together!
